How do I edit a submission on behalf of a student?
I received an assignment via email that should have been entered into a text box in a Moodle assignment that is now closed. Is there a way for me to insert the text for the student myself so that I can see the Turnitin results and then grade it within Turnitin's mark up feature?

To edit a late submission on behalf of a student you have to click on View all assignments, select the student for which you want to upload the assignment, and then click on the Edit menu. You can now select Edit submission and upload the text yourself.
If the Turnitin plugin does not work right away, you may want to refresh the submissions in the settings for the assignment. And if that fails to work as well, you might need to change the due date just for the time for you to enter the text and save it.
