The current file size limit for Moodle is set at 500 MB. In order to avoid clogging the limited storage space available on the platform, it is always advisable to link, rather than upload. For Moodle assignments, instructors can set the Submission Type as Online Text and have the student link their files from any online platform (OneDrive, Google Drive, DropBox, and the sort).
